Paph. delenatii (Paph. delenatii ‘1/2 album’ x Paph. delenatii var. album ‘SVO White Knight’ HCC/AOS)

Lots of album genes here…. But expect most to be light pink flowers of good size and shape.

Paph. barbatum (Paph. barbatum ‘Plum’ x self)

This is one of my favorite Maudiae type Paphs. The cultivar ‘Plum’ was selected from many in flower and has a very dark pouch and a nice broad dorsal.These are handsome plants with multi growths and reliable growers and bloomers. First Bloom 2, 3, 4

 

Paph. henryanum (Paph. henryanum ‘Dos DD’s x Paph. henryanum ‘DD’s Supreme’)

This is really a nice little Paph. By selecting superior cultivars we are looking for improvements of the heavily spotted dorsals and dark pink pouches.

 

Paph. malipoense (Paph. malipoense ‘DD’s Nova’ x Paph. malipoense ‘Andy’s’)

‘Andy’s’ is from Andy Phillips of Andy’s Orchids and was selected out of many plants in flower. These are growing beautifully a good cross between two select cultivars.

(Paph. Transvaal ‘Merienda Lane’ HCC/AOS x Paph. Shin Yi’s Pride ‘SVO’ AM/AOS)

This type of breeding has produced excellent results. The Transvaal will improve the dorsal, give spotted petals and flower count. Shin Yi’s Pride will add it large size, bold coloring and 5 per stem.  These plants are strong growers and near blooming size!

Paph. Booth Saint-Adductum (Paph. St. Swithin ‘Black Rook’ x Paph. adductum ‘Black Top’)

‘Black Rook’ has a nearly solid dark chestnut colored dorsal as does the adductum.  Solid dark colored dorsals is the objective…

(Paph. Shin Yi’s Pride ‘SVO’ AM/AOS x Paph. adductum ‘Black Top’)

Shin-Yi's Pride (Michael Koopowitz x rothschildianum) ‘SVO' has a 5.2 cm dorsal and nearly 2 cm wide petals this is  a very large flower with a commanding presence. The adductum has a very dark dorsal.  Breeding for large flowers carried 4+ per stem and some with very dark dorsals.

Paph. Wayne Booth (Paph. Susan Booth ‘SVOII’ AM/AOS x Paph. rothschildianum ‘DD’s Queen’ AM/AOS)

This Susan Booth carries 6 flowers per stem, the highest flower count to an awarded Susan Booth and the dorsal sepal measures 5cm to boot!  The Paph. rothschildianum ‘DD's Queen' is outstanding with its 5 flowers and dark red pouches. The expectation is for 5-6 flowers of exceptional size and arrangement.

(Paph. Shin Yi’s Pride ‘SVO’ AM/AOS x Paph. rothschildianum ‘Raja Kumis’ FCC/AOS)

Shin-Yi's Pride (Michael Koopowitz x rothschildianum) ‘SVO' has a 5.2 cm dorsal and nearly 2 cm wide petals this is  a very large flower with a commanding presence. The name ‘Raja Kumis’ means big moustache and it carries 5 open flowers with excellent color and size.  These will be big, bold and commanding flowers.

Paph. Wayne Booth (Paph. Susan Booth ‘SVO’ HCC/AOS x Paph. rothschildianum ‘Raja Kumis’ FCC/AOS)

The Susan Booth has excellent dark flower color, carries 5 blooms and has beautiful arrangement. The ‘Raja Kumis' is (‘Rex' x ‘Mt. Milais') was the first to received an FCC and carried 5 open flowers at the time it was awarded. The expectation is for 4-5 flowers of exceptional size and dark color. Blooming Size

This Susan Booth carries up to 6 flowers per stem, the most for any awarded Susan Booth it also has a wide 5cm dorsal to boot! Shin-Yi's Pride (Michael Koopowitz x rothschildianum) ‘SVO' has a very large flower and commanding presence, Lady Isabel (rothschildianum x stonei) also have these same charms. Advanced breeding for the next improvements

Paph. Julius (Paph. rothschildianum ‘DD’s Queen’ AM/AOS x Paph. lowii ‘Exotic Dancers’FCC/AOS)

The ‘DD's Queen' is (‘Mt. Milais' x ‘Nan Chou’) with excellent color and size carrying 5 flowers combined with the impeccable  ‘Exotic Dancers’ will make for superior quality Julius. Blooming size

 

Paph. Lady Booth (Paph. Susan Booth ‘SVOII’ AM/AOS x Paph. Lady Isabel ‘DD’s Orion)

This Susan Booth carries 6 flowers per stem and has a wide 5cm dorsal to boot!  The Lady Isabel (rothschildianum x stonei) is a superb cross and parent. These will carry 4-5 flowers with broad, bold mahogany striped dorsals. Good vigorously growing plants. Blooming size News flash: an FCC/AOS was awarded to one of these in May!

Paph. Genevieve Booth (Paph. Mt. Toro ‘SVO’ AM/AOS x Paph. rothschildianum ‘Raja Kumis’ FCC/AOS)

Mount Toro is (philippinense x stonei) the cultivar ‘SVO' carries 5 flowers per inflorescence and is a strong reliable grower and bloomer, the addition of rothschildianum will increase the overall size and assure 5 flowers per stem. Blooming size

Paph. Lady Isabel (Paph. stonei ‘Cindy Hill’ x Paph. rothschildianum ‘Raja Kumis’ FCC/AOS)

Lady Isabel is one of the most popular primary multifloral hybrids. Both of the parents used in this cross carry 5 flowers and are of excellent quality. This is a grex that should be in every ones collection.Blooming size

 

Paph. St. Swithin (Paph. rothschildianum ‘DD’s Queen’ AM/AOS x Paph. philippinense var, roebelenii ‘DD’s Damsel’)

The rothschildianum is from (‘Mt. Millais' x ‘Nan Chou') receiving an 88 pt AM with 5 flowers on a stem and dark red pouches. The philippinense is of the roebelinii variety carrying 9 flowers and 11” long petals! These vigorous plants will produce Saint Swithin's carrying 5-7 flowers. A must for every collection.

(Paph. Fanaticum ‘DD’s Prima Donna’ HCC/AOS x Paph. bellatulum ‘SVO #1’)

This grex is not yet registered. This combination will allow for flowers with full rounded shapes and dark blotching. The improved stems will hold the flowers above the leaves.  This new combination has good potential.

 

Paph. Mem. Larry Heuer (Paph. malipoense ‘DD’s Hornet x Paph. emersonii ‘DD’s Angel’)

Mem. Larry Heuer can have a natural spread over 5”! The flowers are chartreuse, the centers of petals are tessellated burgundy and the staminode is dark burgundy. These are rarely available for sale…

Paph. Fanaticum ‘DD’s Prima Donna’ HCC/AOS x Paph. emersonii ‘Terry’s’

A beautifully shaped Fanaticum crossed with a select emersonii from Terry Root.  Expect heaver substance and smaller pouch with similar color as the Fanaticum.

An earlier cross bloomed and the flowers looked like Paph. Kevin Porter (micranthum x bellatulum) or Paph. Ma Bell (malipoense x bellatulum) or like with just a few in between.     Very cool pairing
